Security Policy
Last updated: May 22, 2026
This Security Policy explains the principles, controls, and processes we use to protect the Komplian platform, preserve data confidentiality, and maintain service continuity.
1. Security approach
Security is integrated into product design, day-to-day operations, and decision-making. We follow a continuous prevention, detection, response, and improvement cycle.
2. Governance and responsibilities
- Leadership defines priorities, acceptable risk levels, and resources.
- Technical teams implement controls across development, infrastructure, and operations.
- All personnel with system access must follow security and confidentiality policies.
3. Technical controls
- Encryption in transit (TLS) and secure secret-management practices.
- Environment separation and least-privilege access controls.
- Audit logs, access traceability, and operational alerting.
- Dependency management and periodic security patching.
4. Secure development
- Change review before production deployment.
- Automated validations (typing, linting, tests, and critical checks).
- Configuration safeguards to prevent accidental exposure of credentials or sensitive data.
5. Incident management
We maintain an incident response process covering triage, containment, impact analysis, communication, and corrective actions. For incidents affecting personal data, we notify customers without undue delay in line with legal and contractual obligations.
6. Continuity and resilience
We operate with redundancy measures and recovery practices to minimize disruption. We regularly evaluate operational risks to improve service availability.
7. Vendors and subprocessors
We work with vendors that maintain security and privacy standards appropriate for the services they provide. Access is limited to what is strictly necessary and governed by contractual confidentiality and data protection obligations.
8. Security contact
If you identify a vulnerability or suspicious behavior, contact us at team@komplian.com with as much evidence as possible so we can investigate quickly.
