Komplian is an official Meta Business Partner.
That sentence is worth more than a badge on a page, and it is worth less than some companies imply. This is what it actually means, including the part that is not a benefit.
The status is granted, not purchased
The Meta Business Partners programme is a review, not a listing. A company applies, and Meta examines the things a platform company can be examined on: whether the integration is built on the official APIs and built correctly, whether there is real support behind it, whether the company has a track record with the platform rather than a plan to acquire one.
It is not a fee. There is no tier that can be bought into, and the status can be withdrawn if the standards stop being met. That is the whole reason it carries information: a badge anyone can pay for tells a buyer nothing, and this one has a review on the other side of it.
The practical consequence for anyone comparing tools is that most of the market is not in the programme. "Connects with WhatsApp" is a sentence any product can write. Being reviewed and approved by the platform it connects to is a different claim, and a checkable one.
What runs on official rails
Meta is three channels, not one, and the partnership covers the way each of them is reached.
| Channel | What it means in practice |
|---|---|
| Messages go through the WhatsApp Business Platform: approved templates, delivery statuses by webhook, the real quality rating | |
| Direct messages through the official messaging API, with the account permissions the business granted | |
| Messenger | The same, on the page the business owns |
The alternative, which a surprising number of tools still use for WhatsApp, is automating a personal account with a script. It is cheaper and it works until the number is flagged for automated behaviour and disappears, taking the conversation history with it. There is nobody to appeal to, because from Meta's side that business was never a business.
What changes on the bad days
The partnership is invisible when everything works. It shows up when something does not.
- A template is rejected. Without a partner relationship, the rejection is a form saying no. With one, the reason is visible and the pattern is known, so the second attempt is informed rather than a guess.
- The quality rating drops. It is monitored rather than discovered when sending stops, and the cause is usually identifiable.
- A display name is refused. The naming rules are understood before the submission, not after.
- Meta changes a policy. It arrives as a change to plan for, rather than as an integration that broke on a Tuesday.
None of that is exciting. All of it is the difference between a messaging channel a business can plan around and one that produces surprises.
What it does not mean
This is the part most announcements leave out, and it is the part a customer needs.
The partnership is Komplian's. It does not transfer to the businesses using it, and it does not exempt anyone from the approvals that apply to their own account:
- Business verification is still yours. Meta checks that your company is real, with a legal name, an address and a public presence that agree with each other.
- Your display name still has to relate to your verified business. Ours does not help yours pass.
- Templates are still reviewed one at a time, against your own content.
- Your quality rating is earned by how your recipients react. Nobody can pass that gate on your behalf, and a perfectly compliant message sent to people who never asked for it will still cost you the number.
What the partnership does is make each of those a process with a known shape instead of a form that says no.
Messaging limits work the same way. A new number starts on a low daily cap of new conversations and climbs as it proves itself. The plan "import the list and message everyone on Monday" does not survive contact with that, whoever your provider is.
The question worth asking anyone
If you are comparing tools that promise WhatsApp for business, two questions separate the serious options from the rest, and they take a minute:
Are messages sent through the official WhatsApp Business Platform? If the answer is vague, it is not.
Will the WhatsApp Business Account be registered to my company? If it belongs to the provider, then the number, the templates, the quality history and the conversations belong to the provider too, and leaving later means starting over.
Ask them of us as well. A partnership is only worth announcing if it survives the questions.
Summary
- Komplian is an official Meta Business Partner, and the status is reviewed rather than bought.
- WhatsApp, Instagram and Messenger all run on Meta's own business APIs.
- It changes template rejections, quality monitoring and policy changes from surprises into processes.
- It does not exempt any business from its own verification, display name, templates or quality rating.
- Ask any provider, including us, whether the account will be in your name.
